December 11, 2018Latest Wine Review - 2016 Maeve Shiraz
Serious style of Barossa shiraz in a seriously heavy bottle.Sweet, svelte fruit slips seductively through the palate. This is as smooth as it is rich, its plum-soaked fruit cuddled in violets, dry spice and anise. Tannin is assertive but fine; length is assured. It’s both hefty and pretty at once. It’s very nicely done, in the richer/sweeter/smoother style. 93 points, drink 2020-2035...

August 17, 2018Newest review from Tyson Stelzer - 93 points
2016 Clurichaun Single Vineyard Mataro - Tyson Stelzer 93 points Derek Fitzgerald intended to blend this Mataro from a single site in the south of the Barossa, but couldn’t resist keeping it aside when he saw the quality of the fruit. The fruit integrity more than endorses his decision and he’s done a masterful job of upholding red fruit brightness, mixed spice complexity, even notes of sarsaparilla, beautifully framed in refined tannins and lingering long with bright acid line....

June 5, 2018The 2018 Keyboard Rose & pruning our new vineyard
Derek and I (and Miss 8 of course) are now farmers apparently, although got to admit not unhappy about the fact that I am sitting close to my heater and not out in the vineyard this morning at 7am (Derek said it was a balmy 9C).The front block was Barrel Pruned yesterday (that's when a tractor drives a Mechanical pruner over the vines to get rid of a lot of the excess canes) and the pruners are hand pruning today. With the use of battery powered cutters, they work really quickly!...
June 5, 2018Newest Review - 94 points Paisley Silk Shiraz
2016 Paisley Silk Shiraz - 94 pointsUses whole bunches, pre and post fermentation maceration, wild yeast, matured for 12 months in French oak. Deep crimson-purple, the wine delivers maximum complexity, with a juicy, spicy intensity, yet remains light on its feet. It has great length and you sense the fresh acidity and low pH....

September 22, 2017Where can you find our wines?
As with any small business, getting our wines out into restaurants and bottle shops takes some time, but we are thrilled with some of the venues which now have our wines available to purchase. In Adelaide you can purchase our wine to take home with you from Sturt Street Cellars on King William Street in the city or head to Goodwood Cellars on Goodwood Rd. This list is set to grow more in the next month! There are some great restaurants which are offering our wine by the glass and bottle, so chec...
September 12, 2017Our First Wine Review
We are very excited with our first review for the 2016 Mixed by DJ Deadly GSM, written by Campbell Mattinson on the 23rd August 2017. 91 points for the wine which he called "Impeccable"! "So many new wine brands out there and so often, when you investigate, the wines are good. Spotted this on a wine list in Adelaide. Impeccable. Spice, fruit, texture. A lick of creamy oak but don’t be worried or fooled; fruit is the hero here. Raspberries and cherries, dry spices, a sandy/earthen character. Ev...
August 30, 2017Pop Up Cellar Door this Easter
Thanks to the customers who turned up today and had lots of praise to say about our wines. The Mixed by DJ Deadly Turntable GSM won a few hearts, along with our Paisley Silk Shiraz and the Velvet Grenache. Derek thinks that the Grenache is definitely the one to loose in a box for a few years yet based on our tastings today. Hope to see some more happy customers tomorrow! Don't forget we are open from 11am - 4pm at the Barossa Regional Gallery on Basedow Road, Tanunda....

March 20, 2017Paisley Wines Is Almost Our Reality!
After at least eight years of talking about Paisley Wines, 2017 will finally see the launch of our little wine brand. It's exciting times for Derek and I, with plans to start selling our wines by Monday 10th April and we are planning to have a Pop Up Cellar Door somewhere in the Barossa over the Easter weekend. Derek contacted some growers in late 2015 to organise to purchase a small amount of Shiraz, Grenache and Mataro and 2016 saw him processing the fruit and purchasing barrels. Now after tw...
