The latter part of 2022 has been a busy one for Derek and I, with lots of bottlings and vintage change overs.

Our newest releases are in time for summer, the 2022 Cashmere Riesling and 2022 Linen Fiano. The 2022 Cashmere Riesling fruit comes from two growers either side of the town of Eden Valley, just ten minutes drive from our property. So delicious with SA calamari and chips!

The 2022 Linen Fiano comes from a grower in Kersbrook which is just inside the Adelaide Hills zone from the Barossa. Fingers crossed we'll have some Fiano from our own vineyard this vintage after last years hailstorm damage. As a richer style of white than the Rielsing, we recommend you try this with a prawn risotto or roast chicken. A favourite lunch/brunch time wine!

We have a couple of new release reds that have just been added to the website including the 2020 Turntable GSM, 2022 Six Strings Tempranillo and 2021 Velvet Grenache. 

The 2020 Turntable GSM fruit is sourced from 80 year old grenache vines in Rowland Flat along with fruit from 40 year old mataro. The shiraz fruit was sourced from our Road Block on our estate in Angaston, hence the reason our label says Barossa, not Barossa Valley. Our vineyard is actually just on the edge of the Eden Valley but we can use the term Barossa as both the Eden Valley and Barossa Valley make up the larger region. We would recommend this on any day finishing with a 'y", try with your favourite pizza or barbequed steak.

The 2022 Six Strings Tempranillo fruit is sourced from an Adelaide Hills grower in the town of Macclesfield. This vineyard allows for slow ripening of the fruit so it develops loads of spicy, savoury flavours. We love to drink this with paella and jamon.

Finally our wrap up of recently bottled wines, we have the 2021 Velvet Grenache. This is a lighter style red with that typical lighter tone to the colour you would expect from grenache, but with very bright aromas and spicy flavours. Perfect with barbeque lamb shasliks and garlicy yoghurt.
